When I first started working with models a few years back I deliberately set out to work with the best in the business. I was incredibly fortunate early on to attend a training day with Katy Cee modelling, shoot on a studio day with Rachelle Summers and shortly afterwards manage to book a couple of hours with Artemis Fauna when she was in North Wales. That first shoot with Artemis was fabulous. We were working in less than an ideal location with challenging light but between my button mashing and her experience and ingenuity we produced a set of images I still rate amongst my favourite work. If you’re really lucky I’ll get round to blogging that shoot one day.
So in my last post I spoke about how wonderful Rachelle is to work with. One of the advantages of working with experienced models is their versatility. In a few hours of studio time I managed to create a boudoir, fashion and an art nude set. A few words of direction and a sense of what you’re trying to produce are all models of Rachelle’s calibre need and then they’re off being awesome and just waiting for you to capture the moment.
