So in my last post I spoke about how wonderful Rachelle is to work with. One of the advantages of working with experienced models is their versatility. In a few hours of studio time I managed to create a boudoir, fashion and an art nude set. A few words of direction and a sense of what you’re trying to produce are all models of Rachelle’s calibre need and then they’re off being awesome and just waiting for you to capture the moment.

For this final set I’d brought along a length of rope for Rachelle to work with. By attaching it to the studio ceiling and walls I was able to have a prop for her to work with to create some striking poses full of tension and elegance. At the same time the texture of the rope contrasted beautifully with the smoothness of her skin. The lighting was simple, I just lit the seamless paper and allowed the reflected light to fall onto Rachelle, backlighting her and providing just enough light to lift the shadows across the front of her body.
