After using the infinity cove itself as a light source I was keen to work with a harder more directional light for the second half of the session with Helena. I’d seen some footage of one of my favourite contemporary photographers, Damien Lovegrove, using large boards to block the light leaving shafts of illumination pouring onto the subject. With this in mind and with the help of a couple of large polyboards and a few lightstands to hold them in place we set about shooting the following images.
The styling was all Helena’s work and I love the bodysuit and heels against the hard light and barren backdrop. I’m itching to try something similar to this again in the near future.
